Region Portfolio: Evaluating the Northern Way employment investment priority

Between 2006 - 08 we are evaluating the 'Bringing More People into Employment' strand of the Government's Northern Way Strategy. Our research involves case study visits and interviews with staff and beneficiaries.

 

So far, a baseline of incapacity-related worklessness and a review of existing interventions have been completed.  These will inform the Northern Way's submission to the Comprehensive Spending Review. It will also help develop a framework for evaluating the individual projects and the programme itself, which will include quantitative and qualitative indicators and impact measures.
