Social Policy

AlliceAllice Hocking, Divisional Director - UK Social Policy

Allice leads our work on children, young people and families and on crime and justice research. She is currently directing the evaluation of the BIG Lottery 'Reaching Communities' Programme and the evaluation of the Liverpool Community Justice Centre.

Demetrious is a leading expert in the area of equalities and diversity. He has advised government ministers, local authorities and other public authorities on issues relating to equalities legislation, community cohesion and engaging with hard to reach communities.

Regeneration and Economics

AdrianAdrian Healy, Director - Regeneration and Economic Development

Adrian specialises in regional economic development issues, especially regional innovation and spatial planning in the UK and EU. He is an acknowledged expert on EU Structural Funds and research policy, having acted as advisor to EU expert groups and House of Commons Select Committees.

Chris RalphChris Ralph, Divisional Managing Director - Regeneration and Economic Development

Chris is a chartered town planner and statistician with 20+ years of private and public sector experience in developing and evaluating economic, planning and regeneration policy. He has led and contributed to 300+ studies for clients ranging from central government to community-based regeneration partnerships.

Chris WhitfieldChris Whitfield, Associate Director - Regeneration and Economic Development

Chris leads on our economic research. He has over 12 years professional experience in consultancy, with specialist expertise in regional and local competitiveness, impact assessment and policy evaluation, and economic analysis and modelling - including application of the REMI-ECOTEC Model.

Gary LawsonGary Lawson, Associate Director - Regeneration and Economic Development

Gary is an Economist with 18+ years experience in the public and private sectors. He has advised UK-wide government agencies (incl. a House of Commons Select Committee) on skills supply and demand, strategy and policy formulation, feasibility and evaluation, economic impact and inward investment.

Technical Assistance

Margaret JamesMargaret James, Director - Technical Assistance Division

Margaret has ten years of experience directing large European programmes. She has led our high-profile ESF and European Commission work. She has an excellent understanding of public funding management and the process of developing practice into policy based on sound evaluation systems.
